About

Welcome to Gigi Louise

Hi, I’m Kelly and I’m the founder of Gigi Louise. I’m a maker, vintage/thrift treasure hunter, and life-long lover of clothes and pretty things. When I write “we” anywhere here, I’m referring to myself and my dog, Louie, because he’s here for every step of this ride (including thrifting adventures sometimes lol). Otherwise, Gigi Louise all just a one woman show (for now).

I hand pick all pieces in our vintage/pre-loved drops and I personally design and make all of our own brand collections in my home studio in San Francisco, CA. I hope that Gigi Louise becomes the place where you can come to find those special pieces for your wardrobe that will last you a lifetime and that will be fun and exciting to wear.

To reach this goal, I follow the following four pillars:

Quality: Everything we sell on Gigi Louise is high quality and made to last.

Meaning: Everything on Gigi Louise should have meaning. Whether it’s a unique vintage treasure or a handmade piece of jewelry, everything you’ll find on Gigi Louise will be special.

Responsibility: Making and selling can easily become wasteful and greedy. We see it as our responsibility to our customers and the planet to not let that happen. Quality is part of this - not only does this make our pieces nice to wear and have around, but it also means they are more sustainable - but so are our processes and ways of working.

Fun: Pieces on Gigi Louise are fun and bring joy. We’re committed to breaking away from beige/basics only and bringing more color and whimsy into the lives of our customers.

Why “Gigi Louise”?

I wanted create a character who I felt embodied all that I want this brand to be. I used the two dog names I wanted to use depending on what dog picked me: Georgie for a girl and Louie for a boy and put them together to create Gigi Louise. I loved the name so much that I decided to make her the brand itself.

The Future of Gigi Louise

In addition to the pieces I pick and make, I am planning to expand to include items made by others who follow ethical and sustainable practices, are passionate about what they do, and create meaningful and interesting works (if that’s you, please get in touch!).
